Lt Governor Bolling Comments on Final Elimination of the Death Tax

RICHMOND Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling commented on today's General Assembly action to eliminate the death tax.

"I commend the General Assembly for fully eliminating the death tax. The death tax is a very unfair tax that unduly burdens small businesses and family farmers. It should have been abolished long ago.

"I want to thank legislative leaders and other supporters of death tax repeal for their tireless and consistent efforts to achieve this goal. Without their work, this inequitable tax could not have been eliminated."
